Meet Mitchell

I grew up in Georgia, and every summer my family spent time on Saint Simons and Sea Island — the Golden Isles have been part of my story for as long as I can remember. I love my dogs and want them with us on vacation; I expect many of you feel the same way: they’re family, not luggage. Salty Dog is a place I renovated and now share with travelers who want the real, quiet, unhurried version of the island, two-legged and four.

Why I run this myself

Most rentals on the island go through property management agencies. That works for the agency — not so much for the guest. When you book direct with me you get a faster, more honest experience: I answer every message personally, I know every creak of every floor, and I can tell you which restaurants are worth the wait this month.
